As the sun sets over the Indian Ocean, the reef transforms into an entirely different world. Our night diving excursion reveals creatures and behaviors you'll never see during the day.

Night diving in the Maldives is a magical experience. Watch hunting whitetip sharks cruise through your light beam, spot octopuses emerging from their hiding spots, and witness the incredible bioluminescence that lights up the water like underwater stars. It's a dive you'll never forget.

Departure

18:00 - Meet at dive center as the sun begins to set

Dive Time

45-60 minutes underwater exploring the nocturnal reef

Max Depth

18 meters - keeping it comfortable for the conditions

Return

~20:30 - Return to dock, review photos, share stories

Requirements & Tips

Prerequisites

  • Certification: Advanced Open Water or Night Diver specialty recommended
  • Experience: Minimum 20 logged dives preferred
  • Comfort: Must be comfortable with buoyancy control
  • Health: No diving within 24 hours before flying

Bring a Backup Torch

We provide one, but having your own backup is always wise for night dives.

Stay Close to Your Buddy

Maintain closer proximity than day dives. Always know where your buddy is.

Move Slowly

Night creatures are more sensitive. Slow movements mean better sightings.
