Course Overview

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about advancing your skills. You'll build on what you learned in your Open Water course and explore new types of diving under instructor supervision.

In just 2-3 days, complete 5 adventure dives including the required Deep and Navigation dives, plus 3 electives of your choice. The Maldives offers incredible opportunities for deep dives on thilas, night diving with sharks, and drift diving through channels.

Learn techniques for diving safely to 30m (100ft). Explore the effects of depth on colors and air consumption.

Underwater Navigation

Master compass navigation and natural navigation techniques. Find your way back to the boat with confidence.

Experience the reef at night when nocturnal creatures emerge. Perfect for Maaya Thila shark dives.

Prerequisites

  • PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
  • Minimum age: 12 years (Junior) or 15 years for Deep dive
